This is my second year in Dubai. I had visited Dubai many times before I began living here and used to see the Metro under construction but never thought I would be using it in the future.
It was my second day in college and my friends wanted to hang out, but my grandparents had come on the same day so I wanted to spend time with them.
I had never travelled alone in the Metro, I was always accompanied by my friends, but this time I had to travel alone. Thus, by following the signs, I walked to the DIFC station and my journey on the Metro was amazing.
Because of its great management and security I felt really very comfortable. I am also impressed that most of the men give preference to women for the seats.
I am now so habituated with the Metro that, in spite of having a driving licence, I still like travelling by the Metro because it’s so convenient and a really fast mode of transport around Dubai. I am proud to use the Dubai Metro!
