Out of the blue at Playnation
The popular children’s TV characters, the Smurfs, are gearing up for a meet-and-greet with kids at Little Explorers, in Mirdif City Centre’s Playnation, from July 8-16. As well as meeting the kids, the Smurfs and Smurfettes will also host an arts and crafts workshop called A World of Blue.
The venue bills itself as a place of “edutainment”, where children can learn while they play, as well as take part in a number of themed workshops, all hosted by staff with at least two years’ teaching experience.
This week A World of Blue workshop is inspired by the iconic Smurf cartoon, and will have kids creating special blue crafts. Every session is priced at Dh100, though combo tickets, which include a workshop session plus access to Little Explorers’ five zones, are also available at Dh180. The combo tickets also come with a free ticket for the Smurfs 3D movie premiere, or, alternatively, a free gift from the movie.
Children can also have their photographs taken with their favourite Smurf characters at the venue. The Friday workshops are from 4pm-8pm, while the Saturday workshops run from 1pm-5pm.
