RTA holds bowling championship

The Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) recently held a bowling championship at the Dubai International Bowling Center at Al Mamzar, which witnessed tough competitions between 31 players hailing from various sectors and agencies of the RTA.

The events were attended by Sultan Al Marzooki, captain of the RTA Sports Team, and Director of Drivers Licensing at the RTA Licensing Agency, as well as scores of RTA employees and enthusiasts of the game, who were keen on supporting their colleagues taking part in the tournament.

Al Marzooki praised the performance of the players who exhibited good sportive spirit and keenness to participate in the events. He also commended the unlimited support accorded to various RTA committees by Mattar Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board and Executive Director of the RTA, and the efforts made by organizers.

“The RTA is keen on staging a host of sports, cultural, social and recreational events, as well as other non-institutional activities, with a view to nurturing a good atmosphere for RTA employees, offering them a variety of events far from their daily work routines. Moreover, these activities and events offer a good opportunity for those who wish to showcase their talents and skills before their office mates; adding a human dimension to institutional relations capable of boosting the existing social and fraternal relations between RTA employees in various job hierarchies,” added Al Marzooki.
