Jumeirah’s Sunset Mall has launched a ‘Do good at sunset’ campaign in partnership with social services organisation Smartlife Foundation that sees the disbursement of 1,000 iftar meals over a two-week period at various mosques in Jumeirah.
In addition to the charity drive and in keeping with the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Sunset Mall has built a ‘Wall of Good’ in its lobby area where mall visitors are encouraged to take a pledge to do at least one good deed in Ramadan and follow the below three steps:
1 Mention one good deed to be carried out during Ramadan and leave pledger’s name on a sticky note
2 Stick the note on the ‘Wall of Good’
3 Take a selfie and post it using the handle: #DoGoodatSunset. Each pledge stands a chance to win prizes from the mall
Melville Goveas, Operations Marketing Manager, Sunset Mall, said: “Since Sunset Mall is nestled in Jumeirah, one of the most affluent communities in Dubai, it hopes to reflect the sentiments of residents who are committed to serve the needs of the community and help people in need.
“Sunset Mall relates to this value and wants to imbibe this into its personality and long-term positioning and be recognised as the mall that does good and helps others do good.”
