Read. was Dubai’s free metro magazine from 2011 to 2019. This site brings the name back as a practical, plainly written guide to the city.

The relaunch

The original magazine stopped publishing in 2019, and its website eventually went dark. The domain has since changed hands, and readme.ae is being rebuilt around the same idea the magazine had: explain Dubai to the people who live in it. The old sections — transport, events, lifestyle, motoring, and the rest — return as guide hubs, and the magazine’s history is kept at the archive page.

Editorial standards

• No invented facts. If we can’t verify a price, a rule, or a claim, we don’t print it.
• Guides get updated. Practical pages are revised when the thing they describe changes, and dated so you can tell what’s current.
• The archive is labeled. Preserved stories from the original Read. are presented as what they are — pieces from the magazine era, not current advice.
